AGC News & Announcements

There is plenty in the Wine News from lower California exports to the drop in Bordeaux Prices the market  is correcting the high prices pre 2009. Chile, Argentina Spain and Portugal are competing for the wine dollar with the high priced French and California. The wine business is fraught with fraud form the Billionaires Vinegar to the Languedoc Pinot scam. Biodynamics is taking over slowly but surely as consumers move to natural products. Amarone producers are still riding high  with the achievment of DOCG status while Bordeaux Chateaus continue to litigate the Grand Cru status.

Wine is business after all and who knows what any winery puts in the barrel and what is true and what isn't.

Consumers are becoming more discrimnatory in their selections and the home made wine making is exploding. Why pay $ 35 per bottle for  nice wine with a better label when  you can make a fine Bordeaux blend for less than $ 2.00

None the less wine lovers  can never sate their addiction to eneology and their is no end in site to the pursuit of pleasure found in wine lore.
